ONLY GHOSTS IN THE WAVES
„Only Ghosts in the Waves“ follows Enrico Naso, the undertaker on the island of Lampedusa, a remote rock in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. In the face of its portrayal as a refugee hotspot in the media and a continuous shift towards dehumanising narratives, he tries to fight his inner ghosts and find an answer to what it means to remain human when you’re faced with a grieving mother who just lost her baby in the never ending waves.
